25 year technology veteran, Jim Watson, joins mobile enterprise platform leader to expand reach for its mobile solutions in AMEA
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – October 29, 2013 – Appcelerator®, the leading mobile enterprise platform company, today announced the appointment of Jim Watson as its vice president & corporate general manager of Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA). This newly created position will further boost Appcelerator’s reach in the Asia Pacific region by appointing an industry veteran with more than 25 years of sales, management and executive experience with transformative enterprise technology. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Watson is responsible for helping Appcelerator expand its footprint for its market-leading mobile enterprise platform in Asia Pacific and beyond. Watson joins Appcelerator from Good Technology where he was vice president and corporate general manager of APAC.
Appcelerator is investing heavily in Asia’s rapidly growing market for enterprise mobile solutions. Appcelerator recently announced that it opened a regional headquarters in Singapore to meet growing demand for its mobile enterprise solutions. This new regional headquarters will feature a research and development center, an APAC data center as well as increased investment in its sales, support, partners and services in the APAC region to further support regional customers.
